Russian professional tennis player Karen Khachanov is one of the new generation of players who are taking the sport by storm.

Karen Khachanov was born in Moscow, Russia, on May 21, 1996, and is currently 26 years old. Khachanov was introduced to sports at a very young age, having started playing tennis when he was just three years old.

By age 12, he was already participating in junior competitions and doing well. He was trained by some of the best coaches during his teenage years, having relocated to Croatia and then Spain.

He announced himself to the world in 2013 when he won the Under-18 European Championship title in Switzerland. A year later, at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, he partnered with Andrey Rublev to a silver medal in doubles.

Khachanov’s professional career started in 2013 in the Davies Cup and he has since won four ATP Tour singles titles and a Masters 1000 title while reaching the semifinal at the 2022 US Open.
