Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur has been flying the flag of his country high in the sport since making his professional breakthrough.
De Minaur was an instant hit when he made his professional debut in July 2015, reaching the quarter-finals at the Spain F22.
It is, therefore, no surprise that his talent and peppiness have brought him six career titles and a singles ranking of no.23 by the ATP.
Biography and age
De Minaur was born in Sydney, Australia, although none of his parents is Australian. He was born on February 17, 1999, and is currently 23 years old.
By virtue of his parents’ nationalities, the tennis star holds both Australian and Spanish citizenship. De Minaur moved to Spain when he was young to have his education there before returning to Australia when he was older.
De Minaur represented Spain for much of his youth career but later switched to Australia, saying he has always felt Australian. Together with Blake Ellis, he won the 2016 Australian Open boys’ doubles title.
He has since gone on to become one of the most dynamic tennis players after excelling in various competitions.

The 23-year-old was born to a Uruguayan father, Anibal and a Spanish mother Esther. His parents met in Australia, fell in love and decided to get married.

He enrolled at the Sydney Private Tennis Academy when he was a kid, but the college he attended is not known.
