In the world of tennis, the most popular siblings are Venus and Serena Williams, who both revolutionalised the game.
Not far behind them is the Murray brothers, Andy and Jamie, who also mastered the art of pulling crowds to doubles events.
Then there are the Djokovic brothers. Novak Djokovic might be the standout, having won several titles and risen to no.1 in the world, but his siblings made quite a name for themselves too.
How many siblings does Novak Djokovic have?
Novak Djokovic has two brothers and all of them were born in Belgrade, Serbia, and share the same parents – Srdan Djokovic and Dijana Djokovic.
Who are Novak Djokovic’s famous siblings?
Novak Djokovic’s siblings are Marko Djokovic and Djordje Djokovic. Marko, who was born on August 20, 1991, is currently 31 years old.
Marko became a professional tennis player in 2007 and played in some ATP Tours, but enjoyed more success on the doubles circuit, where he played alongside his brother Novak.
Meanwhile, Djordje was born on July 17, 1995, is the youngest among the Djokovic brothers and is currently 27 years old. Djordje also took an interest in tennis and competed in doubles challenges with his brother Novak, even reaching the quarterfinals of the Chinese ATP 500 event in 2015.
In an interview a few years ago, Novak said it was a pleasure to partner with his brothers in playing in competitions before they quit tennis.
“My oldest brother stopped playing tennis. The youngest one is considering if he wants to continue or not. I’m actually glad we get a chance to play before he makes any decision,” he stated.
“I tried always to be part of it. Obviously with lots of success that I had throughout all my career basically, juniors and then professional circuit, that added extra pressure on them and expectations, it was very difficult for them to handle such expectations.”
Although Marko and Djordje aren’t active tennis players, they still make time to support Novak when he’s playing.
