Cameron Norrie is widely received as a British professional tennis player. Since turning professional, he has been based in Putney, southwest London which is close to Wimbledon.

When the Indian Wells Masters was canceled in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic lockdowns, Norrie decided to fly to New Zealand to live with his parents for the rest of the year.

How fast is Cameron Norrie?

According to Norrie’s coach, Facundo Lugones, he ‘can endure anything.’ Speaking to The Telegraph last year, Lugones said: ‘[As a boy] Cameron was running a lot with his mum back in Auckland. He is just an animal in that department. He can endure anything: long distance and long matches.’

During the pandemic, Norrie returned to Auckland to be with his parents, where he ran daily and posted his times on Strava.

In an interview back then, he told Mail Online: ‘I ran a lot and was doing these 10km runs which I was posting on Strava in competition with some of my friends. ‘It was real hilly where I was, so it wasn’t easy to find a quick track, but I did a 36:45 in the 10km and a 17:20 in 5km.
