Australian professional tennis player Nick Kyrgios has had his fair share of controversy, having been nicknamed the tennis bad boy.
Despite his transgressions on the court, though, his most trending news came earlier in 2022 when his ex-girlfriend accused him of assault.
The 27-year-old used to be in a relationship with Chiara Passari. Kyrgios faced a court in August after being charged with assaulting Passari – in an incident that was said to have happened in December 2021.
While the pair are no longer together, Kyrgios has moved on and is currently dating social media influencer Costeen Hatzi. Recently speaking on the Life Uncut Podcast, the tennis star said Hatzi is the best thing to have happened to him.
“She’s the one, I swear to God. [Costeen Hatzi] just elevates me in every way. She gets the pressure that I am in, she tries to deal with it so that it doesn’t stress me out,” he said.
“And I try to support her whenever I can,” Kyrgios said. “I am incredibly lucky. Honestly, she is the best thing that ever happened to me. I am actually in the best headspace I have ever been in. So I feel good.”
Kyrgios and Hatzi are engaged and have been posting cozy photos of themselves on social media.

No, Nick Kyrgios does not have any children yet. However, in July he confirmed that he and his girlfriend will try to have a baby next year.
Recounting how he met Hatzi, Kyrgios narrated: “Well, she has a side hustle. She sells home decor. And I needed to get my sister a Christmas present and [this picture that featured Hatzi] popped up on my Instagram.
“I thought, ‘Oh this is a nice mirror’, and in the mirror there was this nice girl. I thought, ‘You know what? I will get both.’”
